Pak-Rite, Ltd. – Michigan was established in 1946 and has grown into a full service packaging design and manufacturing company. One of our top selling products is our Patented and Trade-marked Sure-Lok Crate System. Manufactured here at our state of the art facility in Wixom, Michigan, Sure-Lok Crates are made using the latest CAD design software and CNC equipment. Sure-Lok crates can be customized to suit your specific application with custom interiors designed with foam, plastics, steel, shock and vibration protection, corrosion inhibitors, partitions, ramps, and fasteners. Exterior materials are selected for either long term reuse, limited reuse, or one way shipments and Sure-Lok crates are available in any quantity and limitless sizes. With no tooling cost and made from 100% engineered wood products or plastic; Sure-Lok crates are extremely strong, affordable and environmentally friendly.

Pak-Rite Obtains a Panel Saw

 

In our continuing effort to process our customers orders as efficiently as possible, Pak-Rite, Ltd – Michigan has added a a new SCM panel saw to supplement our CNC router department.

The saw will reduce the workload on our CNC routers by cutting stacked sheets of Plastic, Foam, and Plywood that do not require specialized machining, or, pre-cut the perimeter of parts prior to machining them.  A high-end nesting program maximizes sheet yields, further reducing costs to our customers.

Plastic Components

Pak-Rite, Ltd. Michigan offers CNC cut plastic sheet components. With the latest technology for processing plastic sheets, we can precisely machine products from a wide variety of plastic and composite materials. As with our other plastic products, our manufacturing methods allow any quantity of plastic components to be produced economically, without expensive tooling charges, and with short lead times. Our processing capabilities include CNC routing, laser cutting, CNC knife cutting, Water jet cutting, sawing, heat forming, polishing and bonding.

Our CAD department can create custom designs and prototypes for our customers.  Pak-Rite, Ltd. Michigan offers a diverse line of plastic products manufactured from solid, cellular, and composite materials including: HDPE, UHMW, Acrylic, Polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, Polypropylene, High impact Polystyrene, Carbon Fiber, Plastic Lumber, Recycled Plastics, and more. Thicknesses typically range from .05 – 4.0 inches. Most plastic materials are available in the colors Black, Natural, White, Blue, and Red. Custom colors are provided based on customer requirement.

Sure-Lok™ Crates

The Sure-Lok™ Crate system is an innovative design, yet extremely simple to use.  Pak-Rite Michigan offers stock sizes, or custom crate sizes; each crate is designed using the latest CAD software.  The crates are cut using state of the art CNC equipment, which creates slots and interlocking edges that hold the crate together with incredible strength.  Once the crates are cut, they are built.  Both processes happen onsite at our facility in Wixom, Michigan.  For most Sure-Lok™ Crates, it takes about two minutes to assemble, or disassemble one crate.

Custom Foam

Pak-Rite, Ltd – Michigan’s foam department is dedicated to fabricating the highest quality, most precise, most economical, custom foam components since 1946. With state-of-the-art cutting and laminating equipment, we can produce the most intricate shapes and designs in a wide variety of foams. Our approach has always been “tooling charge free” fabricating by utilizing computer generated designs and converting technologies such as Water Jet cutting, CNC knife cutting, Laser cutting, automated skiving and slitting. We can manufacture to customer provided specifications or have our CAD department create designs and prototypes for you.

Pak-Rite, Ltd – Michigan offers a diverse line of fabricated foam components manufactured from both open and closed cell foams including: Crosslink Polyethylene, Extruded Polyethylene, Laminated Polyethylene, Anti-static, Expanded Polystyrene, Polyurethane, Beaded Polypropylene and Polyethylene, and more. Densities can range from 1.0 – 30.0 pounds per cubic foot. Stock colors are Charcoal, Black, White, Blue, Red, yellow and Natural and custom colors are provided based on customer requirement. Stock thicknesses are up to 6.0 inches, but with our slitting and laminated processes, thickness ranges from .05 – 36.0 inches can be achieved.

Products regularly manufactured in our custom foam department include, Hand-held tote foam inserts, Bulk container foam inserts, Case foam inserts, Automotive rack dunnage, retail and consumer packaging, promotional items and displays, and more custom foam solutions.
